UPDATE!
I'm happy to announce that this is one of the biggest updates on the game I've done so far. I fixed some of the previos bugs and it should be working fine now with the pause being fixed.
- New Features - The most important new feature is the bigger map. This allowes the player to have a larger area to play on which leads to easier escape from enemys and potentially higher score. I also changed the pause button to "TAB" so that you don't have to exit full screen to paues the game and I fixed the issues with the pause button.
- Problems - Although most of the bugs are fixed there are still no "Settings" menu.
- Future Ideas - My next step is to make the animations and possibly a gun to the player. However this will take alot more time as i have to somewhere remove the player and the enemies so that I can add animations to them because as of now they are only single sprites and not animated ones. This will be my main goal for the next update. Another thing I'm considering is to change the menus a bit so they don't look as stale and add small transitions from one screen to another. This way the whole game will feel alot more smooth and less blocky but all that is for later.
Overall this is a great update in my opinion however I wasn't planning on adding larger map at all. I just thougt that it would be a good idea and did it. I was going to add it anyways so it isnt's a drastic change in my mind. Still there is alot of work that has to be done but like I said in the last Devlog I won't be rushing this as much.
